In accordance with the requirements of Chapter 18, Article 8, Section 1, Exemption (c), subdivision (2) of the West Virginia Code in regard to Compulsory School Attendance, we are notifying your office of our intent to homeschool our children, Richard and Cynthia. Instruction will be provided by Mrs. Elizabeth Jones. Enclosed you will find a copy of evidence of her formal education which meets the requirements specified in Exemption (c), subdivision (2) regarding instruction in the home.
Richard is eleven and will be in the sixth grade. Cynthia is fourteen and will be in the ninth grade. We have outlined a plan of instruction.
Our children’s annual assessment results will be made available to you on or before the thirtieth day of June, as specified in the West Virginia Code.
